Tamara Boorstein
Adjunct Partner


Tamara, founder of TLB Global Associates, has extensive experience running communications and influencer campaigns across both public and private sectors, including leading strategic and global integrated communications campaigns for governments, universities, corporations, non-profits, and multilateral organizations.  Her expertise includes strategic communications development, media relations, thought leadership, and crisis communications, among other areas. 
 
Relevant clients and projects have included the following:
  • Crisis work with Romania regarding piracy;
  • Public health projects for Africa with the World Lung Foundation (with the World Health Organization) UNICEF and Together for Girls;
  • Economic development projects with a focus on Africa for the Goldman Sachs’ 10,000 woman program launch;
  • Sustainable fishing with the Antarctic Association for Tour Operators and Iceland; and,
  • Ongoing public/private sector work with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce (U.S.- Mexico Leadership Initiative) and the Government of Scotland.
 
She is also an adjunct faculty member, teaching international public relations, with New York University’s graduate program in communications. 
 
Previously, Tamara was a Senior Vice President at Ogilvy Public Relations, where she managed and led integrated global communications programs on behalf of national and government clients.  Her clients included the government of Mexico, Earth Day Network, Iceland Naturally, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Invest in France, The Kingdom of the Netherlands, Chile, Puerto Rico, Goldman Sachs, and FM Global.  She specialized in thought leadership and influencer engagement programs as well as media relations.
 
Prior to joining Ogilvy PR, Tamara worked at MWW Group. In particular, Tamara focused on providing customized and integrated communications solutions to promote Diabetes America, Scottish Development International, Scottish Executive and NYU's Polytechnic University. Her other clients included the State University of New York, Visit Scotland, Curriki, a non-profit founded by Sun Microsystems and Iceland Naturally. She also managed her own public relations practice where she spearheaded media relations and corporate communications programs for the Securities Industry Automation Corporation (a subsidiary of the New York Stock Exchange and the American Stock Exchange), as well as a variety of state economic development agencies including Wyoming, North Dakota, Indiana and the New York State Senate.
